25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, DAY #11, Santa's Belly Money Holder...

Today's 25 Days of Christmas project is another project from my Santa's Belly series!  This one is a money holder.  There are so many people to give a monetary tip at Christmas (hair dresser, mailman, UPS Guy, newspaper delivery person, etc.) and I thought this would be an adorable and easy holder to give them their tip in.  There is a FREE tutorial for the holder following the supply list.  Enjoy!

This "skinny" version is a bit more dressed up than ones I have made in years past.

If you have lots of these to hand out and don't have enough buttons, want a little wider version (for a gift certificate) or you just want a CAS version, try this one.  I just clear embossed the punched circles to make them look more like buttons.

"SKINNY" SANTA'S BELLY MONEY HOLDER DIRECTIONS:
  1. Cut Real Red base card stock to 7” x 7”.
  2. With the card stock in the landscape position, score at 2-1/4” and 5-1/4”.
  3. Apply Sticky Strip to the short side ends of the right section.  Fold up to form your money “pocket” and adhere securely.
  4. Fold the left flap and crease with bone folder.
  5. On the entire length of the long edge of the left flap, punch with the Scallop Edge Punch.
  6. For the fur trim:  Cut a strip of Whisper White at 8-1/2” x 1-1/2”. Punch the entire length of both long sides with the Scallop Edge Punch. Adhere to the edge of the flap matching up your scallops. Trim off excess white card stock on the top and bottom of the money holder.
  7. For the belly band:  Cut a strip of Basic Black at 1″ x 8”.
  8. Place your money holder in the middle of the black strip and then fold the belt over in the front over the center where the belt buckle will cover the seam.  Adhere it to itself only and NOT the card with adhesive on the end. This will let the belly band slide up and down to remove.
  9. For the belt buckle:  Use the Curly Label Punch to punch out Silver Glimmer Paper. Using the 1″ Square Punch, punch out a piece of Basic Black and adhere in the middle of the silver Curly Label piece to finish your buckle piece. Then adhere the buckle piece to the front of the belly band with a Stampin’ Dimensional to cover the seam where the strip ends to finish “Santa’s belt”.
  10. Adhere three black "flower" buttons with a Mini Glue Dot to create Santa’s buttons.  Add the largest Rhinestone Jewel to each one.
  11. Optional:  Add a little tag and/or punches to Baker’s Twine and attach to the “belt”.
For a slightly wider CAS Money Holder:
  1. Cut Real Red base card stock to 7” x 7-1/2”.
  2. With the card stock in the landscape position, score at 2” and 5-1/4”.
  3. Apply Sticky Strip to the short side ends of the right section (the 2-1/4" side).  Fold up to form your money “pocket” and adhere securely.
  4. Fold the left flap (the 2" side) and crease with bone folder.
  5. For the fur trim:  Cut a strip of Whisper White at 8-1/2” x 1-3/4”.  Adhere to the edge of the left flap so that the "fur" is centered on the money holder.  The scallops will overlap the flap which is fine.  Trim off excess white card stock on the top and bottom of the money holder.
  6. For the belly band:  Cut a strip of Basic Black at 1″ x 8”.
  7. Place your money holder in the middle of the black strip and then fold the belt over in the front over the center where the belt buckle will cover the seam.  Adhere it to itself only and NOT the card with adhesive on the end. This will let the belly band slide up and down to remove.
  9. Punch out three of the largest circles from the Owl Builder Punch and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot to create Santa’s buttons!
