QUICK & EASY 3" X 3" VALENTINES...

I'm scheduling this post ahead of time since we are expecting the biggest snowstorm in many years here - anywhere from 7"- 16" depending on which channel you are watching.  YIKES!  Last snowstorm (with much less snow than predicted for today), we lost electricity for three days and we were one of the lucky ones!   I grew up in New England, so I am used to plenty of snow.  However, they are not equipped for that kind of snow here and most people don't have a clue how to drive in it.  So when it snows just an inch or two, life comes to a standstill here.  I don't mind staying in or having no cable/internet/phone (okay I mind a little), etc., but I'd like to keep my electricity.  It's cold out, baby!  And I need lights to stamp!  ;)

Here are a few more of the quick and easy Valentines that Jenni made on Thursday.  She has lots of co-workers to make them for, so she wanted to make a lot in as little time as possible.  Really fast to do, but still cute, cute, cute!  Enjoy...  and stay warm!

QUICK & EASY 3" x 3" VALENTINES SUPPLIES:
  • Stamp Sets – (left to right) Loads of Love (#115022, $23.95), Like-O-Meter (#117667, $8.95), A Happy Heart (#111758, $22.95)

    BUNNY & EASTER EGG HUNT...

We had a great time last night at Robin's workshop!  This card was our featured project.  The ladies learned embossing with this adorable little Chocolate Bunny and simple masking with the chick in the egg.  I cased this card from MichelleY and made a few changes.

First I stamped the chick.  Then I masked him and stamped the grass from the Inspired By Nature in two colors, first Certainly Celery and then Old Olive. Then I unmasked the chickie and colored him Barely Banana.  The eggs were stamped on the Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper and cut out.  The Chocolate Bunny was stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink on Close to Cocoa, embossed and popped out on Stampin' Dimensionals.

After making the first card, I decided that there were too many different stamp sets used to show on one card at a workshop, so I changed the sentiment/medallion to use the sentiment that comes in the A Good Egg set.  I also decided not to introduce the paper piecing for the chick's eggshell so that I wouldn't overwhelm them (I think I may have still!), so this card was the one we ended up making at the workshop:

    BUNNY & EGG HUNT SUPPLIES:
    • Stamp Sets – A Good Egg (#114974, $23.95), Chocolate Bunny (#116980, $7.95), Inspired by Nature (#111656, $23.95), Well Scripted (W #117072 $19.95, C #118601 $14.95)

    SWEET PEA HEARTS & FLOWERS...
Still having fun working with my new products!  Time flies by so quickly when I am creating in my studio.  Poor hubby is a stamping widower lately!  For today's project, I combined a lot of new products from three separate promotions.  The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Brations set Whimsical Words.  The heart and flower stem is from the Sweetheart (Heart Cups promotion) set.  The Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flower and Designer Series Paper are from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I also used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder from the Occasions Mini as well.  And the layout is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch!  Quite the combination...

    NEW ARRIVALS...CAS BIRTHDAY CARD...
Finally - my new Sale-A-Bration and Occasions Mini Products have arrived!  Yippee!  I spent my afternoon labeling my new Big Shot Dies and embellishment.  Then opening all the Clear Mount Blocks and cutting out all the flat parts of the acetate packaging (yes, I keep ANY usuable plastic to use for windows on my many projects - recycle, recycle, recycle). Then I had to attach the labels on my new Clear Mount stamps - too many sets to count!  By the time I was done, I didn't have too much time left to stamp, but I HAD to make something with my new babies!  So I decided to attempt a Clean & Simple card, which is a difficult thing for me.  I always want to add more - layers, bling, etc., etc.  I think I did a good job keeping myself in check this time though!  What do you think???

    ROSEBIRD BIRTHDAY CAS SUPPLIES:
    • Stamp Sets – Well Scripted (C #118601, $14.95 - W #117072 $19.95)

I used the new Two Step Bird Punch which is awesome!   And I am loving the new script style of this stamp set (Well Scripted) and the new Sale-A-Brations set, Whimsical Words.  Totally adorable!  Hmmm... maybe I can sneak in a little more stampin' time...

    HOME AT LAST...
I'm so happy to be back home in Virginia!  We had a great time in Massachusetts and I loved seeing all our family.  But I am excited to get back to my Stampin' Studio and to start playing with all my new products!

Yesterday was my 28th wedding anniversary (yes, I was a child bride... well, 18).  It doesn't seem possible it has been that long !  We were traveling all day, so we didn't get to celebrate until today.  We went to dinner at The Melting Pot.  I just love that place!  It was also my daughter Colleen's first anniversary.  They also chose The Melting Pot to dine at, but they were sure to get a table out of sight of us old folks!  That's okay - we sent them over a celebratory drink anyway!

This is the Anniversary card that I made Michael.  I used the Mojo Monday 120 sketch for the front layout.  Of course, I had to incorporate some of our newest products from the Occasions Mini Catalog!  I used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder on the front and the Like-o-Meter stamp inside.  That is such a cute stamp!  You could easily adapt this card to a Valentines Day one by changing the "Happy Anniversary" sentiment to a "Love Bug" (from Love Bug set) or "Happy Valentine's Day" (from Teeny Tiny Wishes) sentiment.

    LOVE BUG ANNIVERSARY SUPPLIES:
    • Stamp Sets – Love Bug (Hostess Level I), Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370, $36.95), Wonderful Favorites (#115114, $40.95)

    • Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
    • Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
    • New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
      • Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog  -  CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!!
    • Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners
    • Larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use
While new punch designs will be in the new body style, existing designs will remain in the existing body style for now.
