MOM'S FLOURISHING 75th BIRTHDAY CARD...

Right from OnStage Local last weekend, I left to drive to New Hampshire to surprise my mom for her 75th birthday!  Mission Accomplished!!!  She was completely shocked.  I had her convinced I was going to a Broadway show that day since New York City was only a mile from Secaucus.   We had a lovely dinner at an Italian restaurant with the family.  And then Michael and I took her to another dinner at the restaurant she had really wanted to go (Gibbet Hill couldn't accommodate the large group on Sunday) a couple of days later.

I made a matching envelope, too!  Unfortuately, I took the pictures before I added Rhinestone Jewels on the "berries" and forgot to reshoot the card.  :(   So, imagine it all blinged out!  LOL

Today is her actual birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my FABULOUS mom!!!

MAY PAPER PUMPKIN: Hey, Man!...

Finally got a bit of time to put together my May Paper Pumpkin Kit and thought I'd share!  When I opened the kit, I was so excited to see such fun, masculine cards.  I love that I could get 6 Father's Day and Birthday cards put together in only a short time!

Normally I would take the time to do a few alternative designs, but I was so pressed for time and really needed to get my cards in the mail to our dads, etc., ASAP.  So only a minor arrangement change-up on a couple of them this time.

NEED A GIFT?  We have a great new option to prepay for a Paper Pumpkin subscription.  With a prepaid subscription, your monthly kit will arrive with absolutely no fuss.  The payment will be taken care of, the delivery of your pretty red box will happen automatically, and the project inside--like always--will be all ready to go.  Everything is done so you can skip straight to the fun!

PAST PAPER PUMPKIN KITS:  Have you missed a Paper Pumpkin kit from the past that you are dying to have?  Wish you could get a refill for your favorite kits?  Well, you will be happy to know that we have many of these available!  Check out the past Paper Pumpkin kits here, Past Paper Pumpkin Kits, and then call me to let me know what you would like to order!  But, hurry, because they are available while supplies last only

This how easy it is to create 6 fun cards:

IT'S A BLUE-TI-FUL LIFE!!!...

Today I have a card I did for a shoebox swap.  I tried to get as many Occasion Catalog items in there as I could and I managed to get FIVE in there!  I found my inspiration in the gorgeous Watercolor Wonder DSP and worked from there.   I decided to use the Hardwood stamp for the background and flip it from it's expected use for a masculine card – I think it looks beautiful on this feminine card!

The focal piece is stamped with a sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set and finished with the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  The little flowers are punched from the Watercolor Wonder DSP with the new Petite Petals Punch and then color distressed.  Here is another variation I did using the same stamp set, but a different sentiment for a birthday card:

BLUE-TI-FUL LIFE SUPPLIES:
  • Stamp Sets – Perfect Pennants (W#133227 $29.95, C#133230 $21.95), Hardwood (W#133032 $17.95, C#133035 $13.95)
  • Card Stock – Marina Mist, Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP

JENNI'S 30TH BIRTHDAY FAVORS...

Catching up on some of the projects made this summer...

Back in July, only a day after getting home from my second (unexpected) hospitalization this summer, we were hosting my daughter Jenni's 30th birthday party at our house.   I had planned to make some birthday favors for her party during the week before.  Since I was in the hospital all week, I only had a very little bit of time to make these - especially since I could only sit up for a short while.  So they had to be very quick and easy favors - even with a bit of help from my very "uncrafty" mom and daughters.

I had bought some black "50 sucks" lollipops for my husband's 50th birthday last year and decided to take that idea and make my own version for Jen's party.  Just two punches, some crimping on one and punching a hole in the center of each punch was all it took to dress up some Tootsie Roll Pops and make a cute centerpiece.  The little medallion was made with My Digital Studio.

My second project was a little treat bag for everyone to take with them when they left.  I used the adorable It's a Wrap Occasions stamp set to stamp "happy cake day" on 1" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.   Then I just wrapped the pieces around Hershey Nuggets.  So simple!

Here is a picture I took at the party:

KISS SUNDAY, 3 Cheers For Birthdays!...

I am off the wound vac finally (YEAH!) and feel up to a bit of stamping.  Keep It Simple Stamper Sunday is the perfect way for me to ease back into it.  I decided on a birthday card for my brother-in-law.

Since I'm keeping it simple, I went with no embellishments or ribbons, but I still have to play with some of my new products, right?  I simply HAD to use the new Chevron Embossing Folder.  It's perfect for masculine cards - although I think this card is great for anyone.  Especially along with the super fun Happy Hour stamp set!  I have really missed the Cheers to You stamp set since it retired.  This new set fills that hole wonderfully and more!  It has sentiments and accessories that cover multiple occasions to stretch those stampin' dollars even further.  I hope you enjoy this fun and easy card!

BIRTHDAY CHEERS CARD:
  • Stamp Sets – Happy Hour (W#126640 $29.95, C#126642 $21.95)
  • Card Stock – Whisper White, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade
