WHAT I LOVE WISTERIA CAS THANK YOU CARD...

Today I have one of the CAS "Make & Takes" from my downline meeting to share.  It features the What I Love stamp set and the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog available for FREE with a $50 purchase.  This is a pretty little photopolymer stamp set that features three step stamping!  It would suit a variety of occasions when coupled with different sentiments.  I think it would make a lovely sympathy card.

For the flowers, the first stamp is stamped in Wisteria Wonder, but stamped off first.  The second one is stamped in Wisteria Wonder at "full strength".  And the third one is stamped in Elegant Eggplant.  I didn't take the time to line these up precisely because I don't think you need to with this set.  Of course, I had to add matching flowers to the envelope as well!

I used the new Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush from the Occasions Catalog on top of the flowers.  If you're someone who notices and loves detail, you'll love the subtle wink of sparkle you can easily add with this pen!  I am in L-O-V-E!!!  It adds the perfect touch of shimmer to your card!!!

The Glitter solution can smear Classic Ink, so I took my time and carefully painted each petal with a single stroke across each one and that seemed to keep it from smearing.  Although with these flowers, it wouldn't have actually been noticeable if it had.  It does dry very quickly!  Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post - it shows you how to open and use Wink of Stella for the first time.

TECHNIQUE THURSDAY, Seamless Tiers / Triple Time With FREE Tutorial...

Today I have a card to share with you from my Beginner's Technique class last month.  It features the Rock & Roll technique which always amazes beginner stampers (and me, too!).  The French Foliage stamp set is PERFECT for this technique and is one of my favorite stamp sets to boot! 

This card also features the Seamless Tiers technique.  I first tried this technique back in May after getting an email newsletter with a card by Julia Stanton.  Since then I have seen many demonstrators calling it the Triple Time technique.  I call it Triple Layer Stamping.  Whatever name you choose, it is just a super fun technique!  I have included free instructions following the supply list, so you can try it out for yourself.

This another version I did using Cajun Craze for the mat colors.

FALL FOLIAGE TRIPLE CARD SUPPLIES:

• Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Soft Suede (or Cajun raze)

TRIPLE TIME / SEAMLESS TIERS INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Cut your card stock as follows:

Very Vanilla Card Stock

• 2" x 3-1/4" 
• 3" x 4-1/4" 
• 4" x 5-1/4" 

Mat Card Stock (Soft Suede)

• 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" 
• 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" 
• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold for card base)

2.  Using temporary adhesive (use a 2-Way Glue Pen or Multi Glue and allow to dry before continuing), stack the Very Vanilla card stock pieces on top of each other, centering each piece on top of the other:

3.  Stamp images all over the Very Vanilla card stock as if it were one solid piece instead of stacked layers.  In other words, the images should cross over the layers.  This is what results in the "Seamless Tiers".  WARNING:  You will see blank unstamped areas close to each tier.  This is normal!  You will not see these when the card is finished.

4.  Take the layers apart.  Adhere the largest stamped layer to the center of the card stock base.

5.  Adhere the middle sized stamp image to the middle mat.  Adhere the smallest stamped piece to the smallest mat.  Adhere the small matted piece on the middle piece.  This will cover up the unstamped edges.

6.  Add ribbon to these two layers if desired.

CAS FRIDAY, Mighty Oak Split Negative Card...

Just a quick post today as I am off to Physical Therapy.  This is a CAS card from one of my beginner technique classes held last month.  It features a focal piece with the Split Negative technique.  I love the stark contrast of this technique and I think it lends itself beautifully to a masculine project.  Hope you enjoy it!

TECHNIQUE THURSDAY, Emboss Resist High Tea Thanks...

Today I have a monochromatic thank you card I did with Tea Shoppe stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It is one of my favorite sets from the Mini.  I am really hoping that it comes back in the new catty!  For this card, I used a simple Emboss Resist technique (tutorial at the end) for the Hello Doily stamp.  It is a perfect stamp for this technique.  After embossing the doily, I sponged Concord Crush over it, to highlight it.  Then I added the tea cup and teabag (the tag punch is awesome for this) and stamped the sentiment.  Enjoy!

For those who may be new to stamping and don't know the Emboss Resist Technique, here it is:

EMBOSS RESIST TECHNIQUE:
1.  Stamp your image with Versamark or Craft Ink onto card stock.  This technique works especially well on Glossy card stock.

2.  Emboss using White (with Versamark) or Clear (with Craft Inks) Embossing Powder and your Heat Tool. Allow to cool.

3.  Sponge or bray any color(s) classic ink around the embossed image.

4.  Buff off any remaining or excess ink from the embossed image with a paper towel or tissue.

3x3 THURSDAY, Dazzling Butterfly Thanks...

Today I have some little thank you notes I've been making to include with my orders.  I had such fun with the little "dazzling" butterflies I used on my Dazzling Kindness Matters Card, so I wanted to use them again for my 3" x 3" cards.  I just love the jewel tones!  I played around with several different color combos and ended up liking these two the best.  Enjoy!

I embossed the images with Basic Black Craft and Clear Embossing Powder.  Then I colored them with markers and added Dazzling Details to the wings.  Here are some of the colors I tried out during the design process:
