TOOL TIP TUESDAY, Unmounting Your Stampin' Around Wheels Video...

For today's Tool Tip, I wanted to feature our Stampin' Up! Wheels and to show you an "out of the box" way to use them.

I love our wheels!  They are a fun and easy tool to use.  I use the "free-flowing", open styles to wheel on wrapping paper, labels, gift bags & boxes, scrapbook pages, etc.  The new Builder Wheels really take the fun up a few notches.  You can stack up to three different builder wheels on a spindle that snaps into a Jumbo Stampin' Around Handle.  Add a Triple-Cell Ink Cartridge and you can be rolling all three wheels in DIFFERENT COLORS to produce your own custom multicolored designs!  Woot!

However, if the wheel is a scene (like the retired Haunting) or words and phrases intermixed (like Bright Blessings or I {Love} Love), or just something I would like to hand-color with markers, then I unmount the rubber from the wheel and use it as a regular stamp.  You can unmount them to use as one stamp and marker the areas you'd like to stamp or cut the stamp up into individual stamps and have a whole set of stamps for only $8.50!  It makes them so much easier to work with and if you have been wheel-challenged up to now, you will find yourself loving your wheels!  See my video at the end of this post on how to unmount your wheels!

Stampin' Around Wheels, Handles and Accessories

WHEELS
•  Available in Standard, Jumbo, and Builder sizes.
•  Same deeply etched images in high-quality rubber as our regular stamps.
•  Use with Stampin’ Around handles, Spindles/Spacers and ink cartridges (sold separately)
•  Excellent to stamp labels for nuggets, party bags, gift boxes & wrap, and scrapbook pages quickly.

HANDLES
•  Easy to switch cartridges and wheels, so you only need one of each sized handle - Standard and Jumbo.
•  Ergonomic design
•  Durable plastic construction
•  Available in Standard and Jumbo sizes

SPINDLES & SPACERS
•  Use with Builder Wheels
•  Spindle holds up to 3 Builder Wheels and fits Stampin’ Around Jumbo Handle
•  Spindle comes with end cap piece to hold it securely in handle
•  Spindle comes with 2 spacers
•  Use spacers to substitute for a wheel when only using 1 or 2 Builder Wheels.   When using only 1 or 2 Builder wheels, make sure you apply pressure firmly and evenly so the wheel doesn't rock.

WHEEL GUIDE
•  Works with Stampin’ Around wheels to create straight lines of wheeled art.  No more crooked Stampin’ Around Wheel images!
•  Two 12" rulers snap together to make a 22" straight edge or a right angle corner while the clear plastic allows you to see your artwork as you wheel.

PRODUCT SHARE UPDATES...

Hope everyone else is enjoying a better weekend than we are!  It has rained all weekend.  Actually it's been raining for a couple of weeks here most days.  :(

Just wanted to update everyone on some product shares, etc., that I have going on.  I will be starting an additional ribbon share with other styles of ribbons as well since some have expressed an interest in it.  I'll let you know as soon as the details are finalized.

Right now I have 3 Dauber Cases left.  I am not sure if I will be reordering more or not.  It depends on how much interest there is.  For more information on the Dauber Cases, please check out this post:  Dauber Storage Cases.

Of course, the Dauber Templates will continue to be available.  Please remember that after completing your template purchase PayPal should IMMEDIATELY take you to the downloads page.  If it does not, please contact me right away.  PayPal will NOT send the templates to you later via email, etc.

I have a new group of three ladies anxiously waiting for one more participant to join the Holiday Mini Catalog Accessories Share.   Would anyone like to help them out and sample some of our gorgeous new Holiday Mini products?  They are TOO good to miss!

Lots of retired products have sold in the last week and I have added more items to the list as well including lots of wheels.  Please check out my updated sale list here:  Retired 4 Sale List.  I will continue to add items as I find them.

STORAGE SATURDAY, How to Mount Clear-Mount Stamps Video...

Today's storage tip is a little bit of a stretch!   However, I took advantage of my "sick" time by reading up on making and publishing videos and think I have finally figured it out..at least enough to make one video for you.  Try not to notice all my newbie mistakes too much!  ;)   I promise to get better!

Since it is my first video, I decided to start out with something really basic - How to Mount Clear-Mount Stamps.  Although not everyone may choose to use the stamp index labels (the climate or altitude in some areas of the country cause people to have difficulty with stickers), this video shows you how to mount them if you decide to use them.  Be sure to watch the end of the video where I share my "secret" little storage tip for the Clear-Mount stamps!

Tuesday, I will be posting a second video - Unmounting Stampin' Up! Wheels.  So be sure to check back then!  If there are videos you would like to see, please comment on this post or email me at marie@mariestamps.com with your suggestions.

BAROQUE LOVE BIRDS WEDDING CARD...

Jenni is attending a wedding tomorrow and made this card for the happy couple.  She was inspired by my Love Birds 60th Anniversary card, but reinvented it in a whole new way.  The couple's theme is Black, White & Silver, so these are the colors she wanted to use for the card.

Jenni sponged Frost Shimmer Paint on the raised portions of the embossed Top Note piece as well as on the Love Birds and the white butterflies.  It adds the perfect tone on tone sheen.

For the sentiment, she used the Petite Pairs stamp set.  That set has quickly become one of my favorites!  It is perfectly sized for punched pieces and the I love being able to pair the sentiments for the card front and the inside!  Check out the picture at the end of the post for all the adorable sayings!

WHERE IS MARIE?...

I'm sorry that I have been AWOL lately.  I have been so sick for a month now and didn't know why.  I had a doctors appointment at the end of August, but the clinic canceled it because of Hurricane Irene and I couldn't get another one until next Monday (gotta love the military!).  Since a couple of my meds had been switched out or were new, I decided to take myself off all of them (even vitamins, etc.) and try to figure out if that was what was causing it.  Even after 10 days of no medications, I still have not been well.

I felt a little better last Saturday and went to my downline meeting, only to rebound with feeling worse than ever for the next few days.  Tuesday evening, desperate to avoid the ER (you can wait as much as 12-20 hours at military ERs), I decided to check out the web about my medications, etc.  My diet has not changed at all and I have not been eating much anyway with being so sick.  However, I remembered that I did switch from regular yogurt for my breakfast to a probiotic yogurt a couple of months ago.  It is supposed to be better for your digestion though so it couldn't be causing all my stomach problems, right???  Wrong!  In my search, I found that many people have terrible reactions to this yogurt from mild to violent symptoms.  Of course, I immediately stopped eating it and seem to be feeling a little better now.  Although many people said it can take some time before it clears your system and that you might even need antibiotics to get rid of the symptoms, so time will tell.  Hopefully I have found the culprit though!

I haven't been able to stamp much due to the severe stomach pain, but hope to be back to it in the next few days.  Fingers crossed!  I am still working though and answering emails and getting out orders, etc.  I'm just not making any projects except for those that have to be done for classes.  Thanks so much for all the emails checking to see if I am okay.  It is very much appreciated!  It is nice to be missed...

CAS FRIDAY, Holy Smokes, Batman! It's the Bat-Signal! Punch Art Card...

What do you do when your daughter needs a card for a birthday party that is in 20 MINUTES?  Oh, yeah and it has to have a BATMAN theme???  And Stampin' Up! has no Batman stamps?  Once again, it is Punch Art to the rescue and this is what we came up with.

This was the fastest card I ever made, start to finish, including design time.  I've made quicker CAS cards, but usually spent more time planning them that offset it.  The time-consuming part was the "windows".  I would have liked them to look much better, squares, etc., but no time.  I also would have loved to do a brayed card for the spotlight into the sky.  Again, no time, so vellum had to do.  I wanted to do a little something more in the sky, (stars probably), but DD said, "No, gotta go", grabbed the card and left.  I barely had time to snap a few shots of the card.  Hope you enjoy my little card!

HOLY SMOKES, BATMAN!  IT'S THE BAT-SIGNAL!  PUNCH ART SUPPLIES:
    • Card Stock – Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Vellum
    • Ink – Basic Black, Daffodil Delight Classic, Whisper White Craft
    • Punches – Extra-Large Tag (#119866, $16.95), Large Oval (#119855, $15.95), Bitty Bat (retired)
    • Accessories – White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (#105021, $3.95)
    • Tools – Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430, $3.95), Sponge Daubers
