THOUGHTFULNESS IN HEATHER CARD...

This is a cute little card I made at a Downline meeting.  I love the new Small Bloom punch and this stamp set makes it quick and easy to create a "Thank You"or "Congratulations" card when you need one!

Of course, I had to use my favorite new embossing folder for the background - just love that Parisian Flourish folder!  Both the Nested Labels and the small bloom punched piece are raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals to give even more depth.  I also added some Wink of Stella to the bloom, although you can't really see it in this pic.

CHRISTMAS BELLS ARE RINGING...

Today I finally have my computer back from Apple and functional!!!  I have been lost without it, so I had to jump right on and post this cute Christmas card I made at a Downline meeting.  My last card featuring the Blended Seasons set since it is leaving us tomorrow...  *sniff*   I switched it up to use the New Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!  So cute!  And guess what is coming back in the Holiday Catalog???  SHIMMER PAINT!  And that means my beloved Shimmer Mist will be returning to my holiday cards.  Cue the Happy Dance!!!

Unfortunately, you cannot see the shimmer in this picture.  I didn't realize until I went to post it today and I already gave the card away.   But trust me, it is there spritzed on the embossed Old Olive layer!  I will post other cards featuring my Champagne Shimmer Mist soon though.  For those who are not familiar with my Shimmer Mist, here is the recipe!

SHIMMER MIST RECIPE:

1. Label an empty Stampin' Spritzer bottle  with the mixture you are making.  For this card, mine is labeled Champagne Mist.
2. Fill with 70% rubbing alcohol -- although 90% will dry quicker, the mist will not spray as fine and may even clog completely due to solids that form. 
3. Add about 1/8 teaspoon of any of the new Shimmer Paints in the Holiday Mini Catalog.   I would begin with less and then gradually add more until you are happy with the results.
4. Add 5-15 drops of any color Reinker to create your own custom colored Shimmer Mist!  I find the Champagne Shimmer Mist lends itself very well to coloring.  Be sure to shake vigorously before EACH application!!!  
5. This is very important, even if it has only been a short time since you last sprayed it.

FALLING LEAVES AUTUMN CARD...

Today's card is one I made for a swap at my Downline meeting.  The swap theme was a sketch swap from Mojo Monday's last sketch MOJO500.  I haven't done a fall card yet with the Blended Seasons stamp set, so I decided to take a stab at that.  I had to break out my Stampin' Blends again because I love them so much!  Also, I put a lot of texture into the card.  Maybe too much?  I realized later I forgot to put the sentiments on!  Oops!

This is another version I did of the card when designing it.  On this one, I embossed the leaves with Grapefruit Grove Embossing Powder and then colored it with the Stampin' Blend Markers.  I also ran the card in the other direction before settling on a landscape version of the sketch.

CAS SOARING ACROSS THE WORLD CARD...

Today I have another quick and easy "Make & Take" from last week's downline meeting.  This one uses a favorite of mine - the World Traveler Embossing Folder from the Occasions Catalog.  This embossing folder is especially perfect for Masculine and Nautical cards.  We added a little vintage to the embossing with Stampin' Sponges.  Who said you couldn't use a little glitter on a masculine card?  Not me!  And this yummy Pool Party Glitter Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog adds just the perfect little touch!

HELLO SUNSHINE TROPICAL BOTANICAL CARD...

It was time to come up with another swap for my downline meeting this Saturday.  Our theme is Occasions or Sale-A-Bration catalog products.  I decided to mix a little of both!  I've been dying to use the fabulous new Botanical Builder Framelits again, so I went with those in some tropical colors.  I was inspired by my fellow demo Sarah Williams who will be missing our meeting to go on a Caribbean cruise - lucky lady!!!

I just love this new coordinating Botanical Gardens suite from the Occasions Catalog!  The individual prices are listed in the card recipe, but be sure to check out the bundle which saves you 15% and includes the Botanical Blooms stamp set, the Botanical Framelits and the Botanical Gardens DSP!  See a video on the bundle at the end of this post.

The *hello* sentiment is from the Hello stamp set, one of the sets from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog available for FREE with a $50 purchase.  This is one of the Limited Time products that will only be available through Feb. 15 - don't miss out on it!  I stamped that on one of the Lots of Labels Framelits.  Then I used a marker to color just the *sunshine* from one of the other stamps from the set and stamped it below the hello.

To achieve the coloring on the flowers, I used sponge daubers to layer on Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, and Melon Mambo.  For the very center of the flowers, I used an Aqua Painter with a mixture of Real Red and Chocolate Chip.  I also drew in some lines with Stampin' Write Markers, although in retrospect, I should have taken more time to draw them carefully.  With 12 to make, I was rushing through them.

Once everything was dry, I curled all the flower pieces with a bone folder and put them together with Mini Glue Dots.  Already can't wait to use these framelits again!!  Enjoy!
