A COPPER FRAME OF MIND...

When I sat down to make a Thanksgiving/Fall card today, I was really missing the Copper paper that retired a year or so ago.  So I decided to play with some things to get a more coppery color.  I began with a Brushed Gold piece of card stock.  I ran that through Big Shot in the Finial Press Embossing Folder.  Then I sponged on Really Rust and then some Close to Cocoa and the result was my Faux Copper Embossed Metal Paper.  It really does look coppery with the same metallic sheen, but unfortunately I could not get the camera to pick up the sheen.

Then I took a Vanilla Designer Label Hodgepodge piece and sponged it completely with Encore Gold Metallic.  Then I dabbed on Really Rust and Close to Cocoa and heat set the ink.  Voila - make my own copper!  Well, as close as I can get.  :)    I did get a little carried away with the color spritzer though!
