RAINBOW SOCK MONKEY BIRTHDAY...

Today was Devin's birthday.  She loves monkeys so I wanted to do a sock monkey card for her.  A long time ago, I saw a rainbow sock monkey somewhere, so I decided to do a rainbow card for her with lots of our retiring Bold Brights.  When I do a card like this, I realize how much I will miss them - I don't use them often, but there are certain occasions when you really need them!

To get the rainbow look, I drew the lines in by hand with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Journaler.  It really was very easy to draw them with the fine end of the Journaler.  Then I colored the different colored stripes with my Stampin' Up! markers.  I popped out all the accents with Stampin' Dimensionals.  This card really fits Devin's colorful personality!  We love you, Devin!

  1. Marie - I saw your rainbow sock monkey on Stampin'Addicts. It is so adorable. I like it much better that "traditional" coloring. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to use my sock monkey.
