HAUNTED HOUSE, Countdown to Halloween Project #20...

A very simple card...  Still working on my braying skills.  They are sorely lacking despite many years of practice!  So, I ended up using lots of sponging, too.  But, I have another one I've been working on that I will post tomorrow.  For some reason I can't get the camera to pick up all the color graduation - the pumpkin pie color looks as dark as the chocolate chip in the picture. Looks better in person. Sorry!

HAUNTED HOUSE SUPPLIES:
  • Stamps – House of Haunts (#111574) $22.95, Grateful Greetings (#116511) $36.95
  • Card stock –Basic Black 4.25" x 11", scored @ 5.5
      • Pumpkin Pie, 4" x 4 3/8"  and one to size to mat sentiment
      • Barely Banana, 3.74" x 4 1/8" and one to size for sentiment
    • Ink – Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip Classic, White Signo Gel Pen
    • Ribbon – Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon (with 2 of the white striped colored with Summer Sun)
    • Tools – Brayer, sponges, black embossing powder, heat tool, Stampin' Dimensionals
For the main piece, this is what I did:
    1. Stamped the image in Basic Black craft ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
    2. Use a 1 3/8" circle to mask the moon over the house and brayed the whole piece with Summer Sun.
    3. Then I sponged Pumpkin Pie around the image followed by Chocolate Chip close to the edges.
