TECHNIQUE THURSDAY, FAUX WOODGRAIN...
This is the card from my last Technique Thursday Class.

We did Faux Woodrain this time and had examples of different looks and styles of woodgraining.  Since most of us are putting the cards in our Technique Album with the Technique Page, I decided to go for a full 6x6 card this time to fill the page - although I ended up covering up much of the woodgrain effect.  But, I still liked the way it made the card look and the beautiful fall colors.  I also showed how the card could be adapted for a standard A2 size.

This is the technique page and the card for the album:

Woodgrained Thinking of You:
  • Stamps – Thoughts & Prayers #113252, $25.95
  • Card stock – Whisper White, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Summer Sun, Really Rust
  • Ink – More Mustard, Creamy Caramel, Really Rust, Whisper White Craft Pad, Markers (Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Really Rust, Summer Sun, Old Olive, Creamy Caramel)
  • Ribbon – 1" Double-Stitched Chocolate Chip Ribbon, 1/4" Grosgrain Old Olive Ribbon
  • Accessories – Antique Brass Vintage Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Punches – Wide Oval, Scalloped Oval
  • Tools – Big Shot, Top Note Die
Haven't attended a Technique Class yet?  What are you waiting for?  Come and join us for a fun time and great techniques!  Beginners are always welcome.  Next up is Dazzling Diamond Dust on Thursday, October 15.
