CAS FRIDAY, SIMPLE TULIP VASE...

This week, I am starting a Clean and Simple Friday with easy projects.  I am starting it off with this simple tulip vase.  I was inspired by some beautiful tulips I got for a centerpiece for our Easter brunch last Sunday.  I have to say that this one didn't end up quite as simple as planned.  I accidentally cut the white 1/4" too small all around and didn't realize until I had already embossed it and glued on the flowers.  So I needed another layer underneath.  And I forgot to stamp my sentiment before embossing in the Big Shot, so I had to do the punch medallion.  And the tulips kept multiplying on me!  :)  So maybe this one should be called semi-CAS???  It is a very easy punch art project though - so very CAS for punch art.

SIMPLE TULIP VASE SUPPLIES:
  • Stamp Sets – Teeny Tiny Wishes (#115370, $36.95)
  • Card stock – Whisper White, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Sweet Pea DSP Stack
  • Ink –  Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron Classic
  • Punches – Extra Large Two-Step Bird (#117191, $15.95), Ornament (#116794, $15.95), Wide Oval (#112082, $15.95), Word Window (#105090, $15.95), Modern Label (#116630, $15.95)
  • Accessories – Stampin' Dimensionals, Soft Subtle Brads
  • Tools – Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Folder (#117335, $7.95)

For the tulips, I again used that versatile Two-Step Bird Punch.  You can make so many different flowers with that punch!  Each flower uses 2 or 3 of the bird wings.  For the stems, I used the Wide Oval to cut "on-the-edge" and "above and around" as in other punch tutorials posted here.  The vase is the Ornament Punch with the bottom snipped off.  Enjoy!
