CREATIVE CREW CHALLENGE, Vintage Pocket Watch Framed Art...

The day is finally here!  My first official day as a Creative Crew Design Team Member on Splitcoaststampers.com!  Come join me and play along with our challenge!   All our challenges this month have a Vintage theme.  Not my strongest suit, but I did my best!  Here is the Challenge Info:

CCREW0511DF, SUO or SUM - DSP/Color Focus:
-- Go neutral with a splash of color! Instead of whisper white or very vanilla, try naturals white or ivory, confetti white or cream. Large emphasis on neutrals.  Look to the Elegant Soiree DSP this month for inspiration:  All neutrals with that splash of baja breeze!  You do not have to use the Elegant Soiree DSP but that is the look that we're after.

To play along with this challenge, you would create a project that follows the challenge below.  Then, to share your project, you take a picture of it and upload it to the Splitcoaststampers Gallery.  You will need to become a registered member (no charge) if you have not already done so.  In the keywords section, be sure to put the identifying challenge number below.  Also you would use the SUO (Stampin' Up! Only) or SUM (Stampin' Up! Mostly) as they pertain to your card.

I took multiple pictures as Framed Art is very difficult to take pictures of with the reflection on the glass.  In some photos I took the insert out of the frame to avoid the glass.  Plus, I used the Cracked Glass Technique for the main watch face and the sentiment, which also glares in photos.  Hopefully between all the photos, you can see them well enough.  Click on the photos to enlarge for more detail.

The pocket watch chain is a recycled pull chain from a ceiling fan.  I snapped off portions of the Game Spinners with wire cutters and then embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then I rubbed them with my fingers so that the oils would take away some of the shine and give them a bit of a brassy look.

I hope you enjoy my first project!  I will share the other three throughout the week!
